Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The free plan stays free. We only ask for a card when you pick a paid plan, and even then there is a 14 day trial first.

What counts as one monitor?

One check against one target: a URL, a host and port, a hostname, a certificate, or a heartbeat your cron job pings. Each monitor has its own interval and assertions.

Can the page live on my own domain?

Yes, on Starter and Team. Point a CNAME at your page and it serves over HTTPS. Team plans can also remove our branding and add custom CSS.

How do subscribers get notified?

They choose: email, SMS, Slack, Discord, Telegram, Teams or a webhook. You publish one update and it goes out on all of them.

What is a workspace, and do I need more than one?

A workspace holds its own pages, monitors and subscribers. One is plenty for a single product. Agencies use one per client so nothing leaks between them.

Can I change plans later?

Any time, in both directions. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of the period, and we tell you first if anything will no longer fit.
